Passages through a white door on black. Passages we face, we humans who change, we evolve.

More or less evanescent portraits pass through the doors, reach the threshold, sometimes stopping, sometimes passing directly elsewhere. The spiritual traditions of the East and the West give a meaningful symbol to the door. These characters that are found come from different times and places, as they stop from their eternal fluctuation in other dimensions, looking out, landing. The act of "crossing a threshold" has the meaning of reuniting with a new world and the door represents the separation or communication between the two areas, not only as identification of the physical space that delimits the exterior from the inside or vice versa, but also as a passage between two levels: the known and the unknown, the profane and the sacred, the past and the future.

The white threshold is empty, the black background is Nothingness. The door as a place of "passage" establishes, for the relationship between threshold and divinity, the sacralization of the entrance.

at the door is the place of Hermes, the Greek god of state changes, for whom there is neither lock nor fence nor boundary. His image was placed on the door of the houses, so that the threshold would be protected, and near the entrance of the city or on the tombs, "doors" that open access to the underworld.

The passage, the door, is also an element of identification of life, which is nothing but a continuous crossing thresholds, through the passage from one phase to another: from birth to death through puberty, procreation, parenting, work, disappointments, hopes, teachings, renunciations.

Common passages to humans, but which the individual must face to access from one room to another; from the moment of the first entry into the building, with the birth, and through a series of intermediate transits to the exit that takes place with death, but which in turn can constitute a passage to other buildings, transforming the entire itinerary during life in a simple stage between otherworldly worlds.
